9:00 AM Depart on the José Cuervo Express Train

Climb aboard the restored first-class lounge cars and settle into plush seating with panoramic windows. Your journey begins as the 437-passenger train glides through Jalisco’s undulating agave fields. Premium Plus guests enjoy a selection of gourmet appetizers; Diamond & Elite also receive two signature cocktails—like mango margaritas and house-infused palomas—prepared by our on-board mixologist.

10:00–11:00 AM Educational Tasting & Arrival in Tequila

While the train rolls into Tequila, join a guided tasting of 2–3 José Cuervo expressions. Learn tasting techniques—nose, palate, finish—from our experts. Standard Journey enjoy two pours;

11:35 AM Mundo Cuervo & La Rojeña Distillery Tour

Disembark for a behind-the-scenes tour of La Rojeña’s brick ovens and copper stills—the oldest active distillery in Latin America. At Mundo Cuervo’s interactive center, explore fermentation tanks and oak barrel rooms. Diamond & Elite guests enjoy private access to a barrel cellar and a tasting of rare aged tequilas.

1:00 PM Free Time & Lunch in Tequila

Wander Tequila’s charming plazas, visit artisan shops, or enjoy lunch at a local fonda (not included). All guests receive a voucher for refreshing agua de agave;
Elite receive a voucher for a small artisanal snack at the Juan Beckmann Cultural Center.

4:15 PM Mexican Cultural Show

Gather in the town square for a lively performance of mariachi music and folklórico dance. Savor regional specialties—carne en su jugo, fresh guacamole, and tortilla chips—while immersed in Jalisco’s rich traditions. Diamond & Elite guests enjoy a tequila-paired hors d’oeuvre flight.

7:00 PM Return by Bus to Casa Cuervo–EDISA

Board a comfortable coach for the return to Casa Cuervo–EDISA. Reflect on your 11-hour adventure as you receive a commemorative José Cuervo Express glass. Optional private hotel drop-off available upon request.

Travel by air-conditioned bus through the Jalisco countryside, passing agave estates. Knowledgeable guides explain how volcanic ash from Tequila Volcano enriches the soil, influencing the sweetness and minerality of the agave hearts.

10:00 AM Jimado Demonstration

Observe a skilled jimador harvest piñas using a traditional coa knife. Feel the spiky leaves and taste raw agave—an illuminating first step in the tequila-making process.

12:30 PM Mundo Cuervo & La Rojeña Tour

Tour the historic distillery facilities: brick ovens, fermentation vats, and copper stills. Sample three José Cuervo tequilas: Especial® Reposado, Tradicional Plata, and Reposado. Diamond & Elite guests receive an additional barrel-select añejo tasting.

2:10 PM Free Time in Tequila

Explore the Pueblo Mágico: shop for handcrafted souvenirs, savor street snacks (not included), or relax in the central plaza. All guests receive a handy map of local highlights.

4:15 PM Mexican Cultural Show

Experience mariachi and folklórico dance in an open-air plaza. Complimentary tortilla chips and guacamole welcome you, while the vibrant rhythms celebrate Jalisco’s heritage.

6:00 PM Board the José Cuervo Express Train

Board the elegant lounge car for an evening ride back to Guadalajara. Enjoy 2–5 curated tequila pours based on your ticket tier:
