Tequila Train Tour – Friday Tequila Express with Private Transportation & Distillery Visit

If you’ve ever dreamed of rolling into the Pueblo Mágico of Tequila by train, this Tequila Train Tour was built for you. Your day begins in Guadalajara, where a private driver picks you up at your hotel or Airbnb and takes you straight to the Friday Tequila Express departure. From there, you’ll board the train and ride for about two hours across agave country, watching the blue fields slide by as you get closer to the town that gave tequila its name.

Once you arrive in Tequila, your driver will be waiting. From the station, you’ll be whisked to one of the region’s iconic distilleries—Arette, Fortaleza (subject to availability), El Tequileño, Orendain, or La Cofradía—for a guided visit and lunch at a local restaurant. Food is included, drinks are not, giving you the freedom to order exactly what you want. Later in the afternoon, you’ll stop at the legendary Cantaritos El Güero before being driven back to Guadalajara. It’s a full, relaxed Friday escape that combines the romance of the Tequila Express train with the comfort of private transportation.

Fortaleza*

Fortaleza is one of the most coveted names in tequila, known for small-batch, artisanal production and an intimate atmosphere. Because of its popularity, access is subject to availability and must be requested early.

Orendain is tied deeply to Jalisco’s tequila heritage. This option is great if you’re curious about long-standing tequila families and want to see how tradition continues today.

La Cofradía

Set slightly outside the main town center, La Cofradía mixes tequila production with unique architecture and photo-friendly corners. It’s perfect if you enjoy exploring and taking pictures in more secluded spaces.
