Casa Sauza Tequila Tour – Discover the Full Tequila Process
Important Notice: Due to the recent heat wave, we have canceled the 3:00 p.m. field tours until further notice. To ensure a safe and complete experience, our tours take place at 11:00 a.m. so that the agave field experience is available before the heat peaks.

If you want to experience every step of how tequila is made—from the agave fields to the barrel—this tour is for you. The Casa Sauza Tequila Tour takes you from Guadalajara to Tequila, Jalisco for a guided visit of one of the town’s oldest and most recognized distilleries. It’s a full-day, private trip that shows you both traditional methods and modern processes in one visit. Plus, you’ll get to plant your own agave, see a live jima (harvest) demonstration, and enjoy a cocktail at the beautiful Quinta Sauza estate.
What Will You Experience?
- Private Pick-Up: You’ll be picked up from your hotel or Airbnb in Guadalajara by a bilingual guide. Transportation is private and air-conditioned for your group only.
- Agave Fields + Botanical Garden: Walk through real agave fields and a small botanical garden. You’ll see how the agave is grown, plant your own agave, and watch a live jima demo (agave harvesting).
- La Constancia Maturation Cellar: Visit the aging cellar and learn how tequila flavor evolves in oak barrels over time.
- La Perseverancia Distillery: Tour the original distillery and see how Sauza produces tequila on a large scale using a mix of traditional and modern techniques. (Cancelled by Sauza)
- Mi Alegría Facility: Check out this automated section of the production process that works in tandem with the artisanal side of the distillery.
- Quinta Sauza: Visit this historic family estate and relax in its gardens while enjoying a tequila-based cocktail (included).
